We are often asked by people interested in traveling to Malta about the best route to explore the place. From we sailors' point of view, we would say learning to sail is probably the best way to explore malta. Here are the reasons: 1. Even if you have no previous experience, you can join us on an adventure into the world of sailing with experienced instructors delivering the highest quality of training, and obtain the world-recognized RYA qualification by the end of the course. 2. Sail over 5 full days around the islands of Malta! You will have a lot of fun and meet active people like you. Our students are from all over the world. We love diversity! 3. You can experience living on board and really get to know the boat. Virtually all the course is hands-on. You are the crew or the skipper - without you, the sails won't go up and the boat won't be steered. 4. From our base in Manoel Island, we will be sailing around the Maltese Archipelago including the picturesque sister islands of Comino and Gozo if weather permits. You will also have a fantastic holiday. You can bring the family, non sailors can enjoy the hidden treasures of Malta. 5. By the end of the competent crew course you will be able to prepare a yacht for departure, some basic navigation, steer, handle sails, handling lines for berthing and leaving a berth, keep a lookout, MOB drill, handling the anchor, making fixes and assist in all the day to day duties on board. 6. The course includes free accommodation on the boat, saving you the money for a hotel. There will also be plenty of time to go ashore in the evenings to relax and spend time visiting historical landmarks and having the opportunity of tasting local cuisine. 7. Last, but not least, you will visit some great marinas and harbors along the way and explore and view the most beautiful places in Malta from a boat. These include Valletta, Fort Manoel, Spinola Bay, The Point, Sliema, St. George's Bay, Island of Gozo, Comino, Valletta Waterfront, Fort Ricasoli, Fort St Angelo, Birgu (Vittoriosa), Marsascala, Dragonara Casino, St Julian's Bay, Balluta Bay, Portomaso Marina, Grand Harbour, among others.
