On 11th September 2020, Sailing School Malta launched its brand new website. With this new site, we will continue to provide the highest quality training courses for all those who are interested in sailing, no matter whether you just want to learn for a bit of fun or you are embarking on a career at sea. We have the expertise and courses to help you reach your goals. The new site wants to deliver a fresh dynamic corporate image, as well as passing on to you our belief that sailing can be an activity of professional and fun. That ideology is shared by all of us at Sailing School Malta, whose mission is to deliver fun courses and sea excellency to all our students and future skippers. Compared to the old site, the new site includes new functions such as course publication, online payment by Paypal and credit card (powered by Stripe), booking and transaction tracking, image upload and sharing, connecting to Google Calendar API, post articles, share to the social media, among many others. The site will also facilitate our future marketing campaigns as it allows subscriptions and presents a better school image. The site is created by our loyal student Yixin, who spent three months during the Covid-19 quarantine period in developing both the front-end and back-end of the site, using HTML, CSS, Javascript (front-end) + NodeJs, Express, Ejs (back-end) + MongoDB (database) technologies. His passion for sailing and programming combined together made the site a friendly and lovely creature. We believe the site will for sure help SSM to attract more students who are interested in learning sailing or having a trail. Yixin wants also hereby expresses his gratefulness to Angela Yu for her spectacular course of complete web development on Udemy.com as well as to his friend Ana Montoro who helped Yixin in improving responsive design for different types of screen sizes and devices. We believe the new site is a great improvement and we strive to make it even better for you. Give us some feedback please, and photos from past courses are always welcome!
